London, March 23, 2026 – Alright, British shoppers, prepare your tastebuds because Tesco isn’t just selling groceries anymore; they’re trying to win your hearts (and stomachs) with a brand-new Spring menu at The Café and The Coffee Shop.
Kicking off March 24th, this massive refresh boasts 30 new and improved items, ranging from the utterly decadent to surprisingly adventurous. Is this just another supermarket cafe upgrade, or is Tesco genuinely trying to shake up your pre-shop snack routine with Tiramisu French Toast and Korean Chicken Nourish Bowls?
The scale of this menu overhaul is pretty significant. Available in over 320 stores, The Café is bringing some serious sunshine to its offering. We’re talking about mealtime options that sound far fancier than your average supermarket pit stop.
Imagine diving into Tiramisu French Toast (yes, with mascarpone, chocolate shavings, and an espresso drizzle!) or perhaps something a bit more globally inspired like a Korean Chicken & Sticky Rice Nourish Bowl (crispy chicken, edamame, pickled cabbage, and lime – sounds legit!).
And the drinks? How about a luxurious White Chocolate & Lavender Iced Matcha or a refreshing Peach & Lemon Iced Tea? It sounds like they’re genuinely trying to compete with dedicated coffee shops and casual diners.

Tesco, as a massive multinational retailer, knows a thing or two about catering to the masses. They’re emphasizing “quality” throughout this revamp, from their specially blended Finest Coffee (crafted by baristas, no less!) to breakfasts made with free-range eggs and British pork sausages.
James Pavey, Tesco Hospitality Managing Director, is clearly excited, stating they’re “sure to have something for all the family to enjoy.” And with classics like all-day breakfast, lunch, and kids’ menus still on offer alongside the new, more adventurous items, it seems they’re aiming for broad appeal.
Let’s take a closer look at some of the other interesting additions:
- Summer Berry French Toast: A lighter, fruitier alternative to the Tiramisu version.
- Harissa Halloumi Flatbread: Greek-style flatbread with tzatziki, halloumi, and a spicy kick.
- Loaded Bacon Mac & Cheese: Vintage cheddar, single cream, mozzarella, streaky bacon, and garlic bread. Pure comfort.
- Coronation Chicken Jacket Potato: A classic British staple getting a royal treatment.
- Ultimate Fish Finger Focaccia: Bubbly focaccia, fish fingers, tartare, mayo, and gherkins. Sounds like a gourmet take on a childhood favorite.
And the sweet treats and drinks are equally ambitious: Raspberry Iced Chocolate, Strawberry Shortcake Shake, Raspberry Ripple Round Cake, Carrot Cake, and even Pistachio Crème and White Chocolate & Hazelnut Crème Cookies. It’s a proper spread, isn’t it?
This latest upgrade clearly “further bolsters the supermarkets focus to elevate its Café offering.” It’s not just about selling groceries anymore; it’s about creating a holistic shopping experience, turning those quick “pop-ins” into genuine dining occasions.
For a long time, supermarket cafes were, well, supermarket cafes. Functional, but rarely exciting. Tesco, one of the world’s largest retailers, is actively trying to change that perception.
Will these bold new flavours and ambitious menu items tempt you to linger longer after your weekly shop, or are they a step too far for the humble cafe? You’ll have to pop into one of those 320+ stores and find out for yourself!
