New York, NY — Summer is officially here, and with it comes the usual corporate scramble to cash in on the massive soccer tournament taking over North America this year.
But while most brands are content just slapping a soccer ball onto a billboard, Kung Fu Tea and Red Bull are doing something a bit more… chaotic.
They are mixing energy drinks with boba. Yes, you read that correctly. The country’s largest bubble tea chain is dumping cans of the world’s most popular energy drink straight into their tea shakers. It sounds like a heart palpitation waiting to happen. But honestly? It might just be the genius energy boost we need to survive a month of early-morning match schedules.
Dubbed the “Fearless Infusions” summer series, this limited-run partnership runs from June 1 through July 24, 2026. The collaboration is explicitly designed to capitalize on the hype surrounding the biggest sporting event of the year, spanning flavors inspired by the three host nations of the tournament: Mexico, Canada, and the United States.
Kung Fu Tea’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve Luw, framed the launch as a way to bring a high-energy experience to their community. But let’s be real—it’s also a play to capture the massive Gen Z demographic that practically lives on a diet of caffeine and tapioca pearls.
The lineup consists of three highly distinct, caffeinated concoctions. Instead of your standard brown sugar milk teas, these are bright, fruit-forward, and decidedly fizzy:
- Tropical Tajín Punch (Mexico): A sweet and tangy passion fruit cooler mixed with Red Bull, topped with Mango Popping Boba and a heavy dusting of Tajín seasoning. It’s spicy, sour, and aggressively tropical.
- Honey Peach Cream (Canada): A slightly more comforting blend of juicy peach, golden honey, and Red Bull, topped with a rich, savory Milk Cap.
- Strawberry Burst Punch (U.S.A.): A classic strawberry-infused energy drink paired with Strawberry Popping Boba. It’s basically a liquid firework.

To sweeten the deal (and drive foot traffic), the drinks come in limited-edition themed packaging. They’re also throwing in collectible, iron-on soccer team patches, which is a surprisingly neat retro touch for fans looking to deck out their denim jackets or backpacks.
If you’re looking for a spot to actually watch the matches with fellow fans, select Kung Fu Tea locations across the country are transforming into mini-stadiums. They’ll be hosting official watch parties throughout the tournament, where you can scream at the TV screens while sipping on some highly caffeinated peach cream.
If you can’t make it to a physical store, they are also running a “Summer Soccer Sweepstakes” on their Instagram page. Prizes include $75 in boba credits and some exclusive, co-branded gear that you probably won’t be able to buy anywhere else.
Look, putting an energy drink into a cup of popping boba isn’t going to satisfy the tea purists who argue over the exact quality of loose-leaf oolong.
But that’s not really the point, is it? It’s fun, it’s loud, and it’s heavily caffeinated. In a sea of boring sports sponsorships, this is a crossover that actually has some bite.
Head over to your local shop to see if they are participating in the watch parties before the clock runs out on July 24.
