Metro Diner Offers Cool Deals for Fried Chicken & Waffle Day Celebration

August 8th marks the celebration of National Fried Chicken & Waffle Day, a holiday instituted by Metro Diner in 2018.

Metro Diner established this day to pay tribute to its signature dish, which is featured on a menu known for its traditional American comfort food.

In 2024, Metro Diner is commemorating this day with two special offers.

• In-Diner Discount: Anyone who orders Fried Chicken & Waffles in-diner on August 8 will receive $5 off the dish. Plus, guests who order the celebrated meal will get a bracelet good for 10% off future dine-in Chicken & Waffle orders in August, while supplies last!
  
• Fried Chicken & Waffles for A Year: Enter Metro Diner’s annual social media contest for a chance to win free Fried Chicken & Waffles for a year! Festive Chicken & Waffle plushies will be awarded to a select few as a second-place prize. The contest runs Thursday, Aug. 1, through Friday, Aug. 9, on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, with the winner announced Monday, August 12.

Metro Diner’s version of the classic dish features half a fried chicken (or substitute chicken tenders) on a Belgian waffle, topped with powdered sugar, strawberry butter, and a signature sweet and spicy sauce.
