Global, February 5, 2026 – Brace yourselves, romantics and cynics alike: this Valentine’s Day, the General Mills world of food is going all-in.

An announcement today details an impressive (or perhaps overwhelming, depending on your perspective) array of chocolatey cereals, berry-themed snacks, and festive baking mixes, all designed to make every moment “a little sweeter.”

But does a heart-shaped cookie truly convey more love than a regular one, or is this just savvy marketing playing on our collective desire for sweetness?

Starting the day with a sugary declaration, morning delights include new Chocolate Cheerios and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Strawberry.

For those who prefer a toaster-ready pastry, Pillsbury Toaster Strudel is offering Mixed Berry with Strawberry Icing and Strawberry with Rainbow Sprinkles.

It begs the question: is it truly a sweet note, or just a sugar rush?

Bake Up Something Sweet

If your love language is flour and sugar, the options are plentiful. The announcement highlights a slew of baking mixes and ready-to-bake doughs, making “homemade” treats deceptively easy.

Betty Crocker (a popular brand known for its baking mixes) is leaning heavily into a “Bridgerton” collaboration, offering Petite Strawberry Scone Kits, Crème Puff Kits, and Petite Sponge Cake Kits.

Alongside these, you’ll find Betty Crocker Delights SuperMoist Strawberry Cake Mix and Betty Crocker Soft-Baked Cookie Mix (Lemon Crinkle & Strawberry Mist).

There is also the Pillsbury (a well-known brand for baked goods and doughs) cookie doughs, including Red Velvet with OREO, classic Heart Shape Sugar Cookies and Pillsbury Heart Cutout Shape Sugar Cookies.

It seems a pre-packaged kit is the modern testament of affection.

Share the Love (and Treat Your Pets)

For on-the-go sweetness, new Cinnamon Toast Crunch Strawberry Mini Treat Bars and Nature Valley Strawberry Crispy Creamy Wafer Bars are on offer.

Even fruit snacks are getting a festive makeover, with Annie’s Bunnies & Hearts Fruit Snacks, Fruit Roll-Ups Valentine’s Day Mini Rolls and Gushers Valentine’s Tropical Variety.

And because no family member should be left out, even our furry friends are included: Blue Buffalo (a popular natural pet food brand) is rolling out a Valentine’s Edition BLUE Bits.

Because nothing says “I love you” quite like a dog treat, apparently.

Internationally, the celebration continues. Häagen-Dazs (the premium ice cream brand) is making its Strawberries & Cream flavor available globally, outside of Japan and North America.

It seems no corner of the pantry or freezer is safe from the pink and red onslaught.

While the sheer volume of themed products might make you wonder if Valentine’s Day has become less about romance and more about retail, there’s no denying that brands are dedicated to ensuring you can literally eat your feelings this February 14th.
